Our Mission

Our Sustainability Mission
Here at the Alkemistry, we choose quality over quantity. Sustainability is a key brand pillar for us, and each Alkemistry brand piece is made to order to avoid wasting materials and excess stock.
Our Materials
We work with carefully selected diamond suppliers, who are all members of the RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council). This ensures the diamonds we use are ethically sourced and conflict free. The same goes for our precious gemstones.
We use a combination of suppliers for our Gold, and we only work with 100% recycled gold in our workshop. Our castings are produced with a fair-trade supplier.
We don’t believe in wasting materials, so in 2020 we moved most of our production in-house to reduce air pollution. We aim to move this 100% in-house by the end of 2023.
Alkemistry Always Loyalty Programme
We believe our pieces are timeless in their design and made to last. We stand by this statement so strongly, we offer all Alkemistry Always customers, the chance to have their Alkemistry brand piece re-made and re-modelled if they choose to do so, completely free of charge. We want our Alkemistry pieces to stand the test of time and be preserved so nothing goes to waste.
Our Stores & Concessions
Come visit us in store – buying in any of our concessions or our flagship store in Covent Garden reduces your carbon footprint. Even better, you can order online and click and collect your order in-store.
Live outside of our stores? We understand – order online!
No Plastic Packaging
We’re not perfect yet – but watch this space. Although our packaging isn’t fully recyclable (80%) yet, it doesn’t contain any plastic materials, and all our marketing inserts are printed on FSC paper. Pretty packaging shouldn’t have to cost the earth, which is why our suppliers are FSC and SEDEX approved.
Our Give-Back
Each Black Friday, we work with The Big Give, in which we pledge 10% of each sale to a charity of choice, in which the Big Give double our donation. Black Friday increases overproduction, waste, and goes against our beliefs of ethical consumerism.
We also work with Women for Women, and donate £5 from every Hive sale to this charity, an organisation created by women to help survivors of war and conflict.
Empowerment
All our independent brands are hand-picked by Kirstie, all with same belief to empower women through their pieces. We are proud to support international female founded businesses, who give meaning to jewellery.

Female empowerment is at the heart of everything Kirstie does; from the female designers and female-founded brands part of The Alkemistry, to the predominantly female workforce.

We are proud to have an in-house female jewellery apprenticeship scheme which we launched in 2021 to face the issues of sexism within the “male-dominated” industry. Our female apprentices gain knowledge & experience in CAD, piercing, gemmology, casting, polishing, plating and more.
